Phavigus - Dr. Uwe Schulz

Dr. Uwe Schulz - founder and owner of Phavigus - studied pharmacy at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn. He gained his license to practice as a pharmacist and completed further training as a specialist pharmacist for Drug Information. At the same time he received his doctorate at the Pharmaceutical Institute, Pharmacology & Toxicology Department of the University of Bonn.

In 1999 he began his career in the pharmaceutical industry, with positions in medical science, scientific marketing and project management.

In 2005 he switched to the area of pharmacovigilance and quality management and assumed responsibility as a graduated plan officer according to Section 63a of the German Medicines Act and as a quality management officer. Since then, supported by numerous training and further education measures, he has been able to acquire extensive knowledge and a wealth of experience on the topics of pharmacovigilance and quality management.

Through his more than 10 years as deputy chairman of the drug safety committee of the German Medicines Manufacturers´ Association (Bundesverband der Arzneimittel-Hersteller e.V., BAH) and his regular lectures on pharmacovigilance and quality management topics, he was able to establish close and long-term contacts with relevant decision-makers in pharmaceutical companies, competent authorities and associations.

With regard to the topic of audits and inspections, he can revert to more than 15 years of experience - both as an auditee and as an auditor. Since 2015, this experience is supplemented by his activity as a pharmacovigilance expert and auditor for the German Association for the Certification of Management Systems (Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen, DQS) and by his training as a quality management officer and quality management auditor completed at TÜV SÜD.

Since 2023 Phavigus - Dr. Uwe Schulz is a member of the German Medicines Manufacturers´ Association (BAH).
